2008 Ferrari Hamann Black Miracle Review

2008 Ferrari Hamann Black Miracle Review

 Performance
Some tuners offer the earth when it comes to power, but that still leaves a big problem - especially with Ferrari. No small company in the rolling, chocolate box-style foothills of Germany is going to beat Kimi Raikkonen's paymasters when it comes to electronics.

Every modern car relies so heavily on traction control and other nifty gadgetry that it's no longer simply a case of tweaking the engine - you have to lay it down on the road. Major changes require a ground-up rethink of the ECU's parameters, which is a bigger job than most tuners could dream of tackling properly. Even if they did, Ferrari Hamann Black Miracle would have to provide its own warranty and melted Ferrari V8s don't come cheap.

So Ferrari Hamann Black Miracle opted for a subtle tweak with some minor input on the electronic brain and the new exhaust that gives 540bhp - 50 more than the base car. That will only reduce the 0-60mph time of 4.1s by a fraction and Ferrari Hamann Black Miracle doesn't claim any performance advantage low down in the range, but their car will comfortably hit 200mph now which puts it in the elite company of top-end hypercars.

And the subtle bodykit could help stick the car to the ground at high speeds, possibly... And thanks to the noise on offer from the stainless steel exhaust it feels more dramatic as it scoots through the semi-automatic gears.
