AAA Washington pledges $1.6 Million to LeMay

America's Car Museum is proud to announce that AAA Washington has pledged $1.6 million for the Museum's proposed building to be located adjacently to the Tacoma Dome. The Museum plans to open the new facility to the public by 2011. AAA Washington has been a Museum sponsor since its inception and this donation is the largest corporate commitment the Museum has received to date.

LeMay Museum Board Member and President & CEO of AAA Washington, Charles Liekweg expressed his enthusiasm about the project. "The LeMay Museum and automobile collection is quite remarkable. The opportunity for AAA Washington to work with the Museum in celebrating and exhibiting its own hundred and four year history in the state is truly an exciting one."

President & CEO, David Madeira, expressed his enthusiasm about the pledge noting that, "AAA Washington has been serving members and the traveling public since 1904. The organization provides a variety of exclusive benefits, including roadside assistance, discounts, auto, home and life insurance, maps and personalized trip planning to its 980,000 members. The Museum is delighted to have AAA as a partner in our endeavor to create the world's foremost automotive Museum. We are pleased that we will be able to showcase AAA's important role in automotive history in the Museum and even more excited that AAA will work with us to support the interests of automotive enthusiasts today."
